About The Program

Study Buddies is a volunteer tutor program where struggling middle schoolers can access free educational resources. Each middle school student will sign up to be tutored in a specific subject. They then will be paired with a Reading High School tutor who specializes in that subject. The student will continually work one on one with their tutor throughout the session.

By participating in this program, middle school students will learn more about their desired subject and get extra help. They will also be able to form a close relationship with their tutor, which will create a comfortable, open environment for them to learn in. This connection will contribute to their social skills as well as their overall transition to high school. Having a familiar face at such a large school will make a huge difference once they enter RMHS!
